Biography
Steven R. Myers, CFI is a native Vermonter and resides in Chittenden County.
Steve was a senior investigator with VOSHA for many years, working with employers to improve safety at their facilities. He conducted many accident/fatality investigations and discrimination investigations.
Steve worked in the private sector for Green Mountain Safety Consulting, and then became Director of Safety and Training, working for the largest Vermont based contractor, S.D. Ireland Companies.
His hard work, management skills and expertise with insurance claims, Steve was able to reduce an employers’ MOD rate from 1.15 to .89 in two years. His success in managing claims has been recognized throughout the insurance industry.
Steve is an authoritative expert throughout New England in General Industry, Construction, Education, Municipal and Retail safety and health. He acts as expert witness for many law firms throughout Vermont.
Steve is also a recognized leading expert in Workplace Violence and Prevention.
He is serving his second term on the Vermont Apprenticeship Council and is a skilled educator in regulatory and apprenticeship programs. Steve was also an instructor for the New
England OSHA Training Institute at Keene State College.
Steve is a Certified Fire Inspector and Emergency Program Manager.
